I thank both of them for stopping by and taking the time to speak with me and answer my questions.
Dear Mr. Franz, Here is the reason for the outrage. Most Americans do not care if anyone is gay or not. Your mailer seems to be sent out as a way to get support from the anti-gay community. It seemed like a slur. Most Americans are ready to unite and it seems some, including you, are trying to divide us rather than help unite us. If you do not understand the reason for the outrage then there is no way that I want you to lead this area, because you are out of touch with the people. I will vote for Mr.Scripps. Mr. Franz you confirmed my vote with your juvenile mailer.
Franz has no idea the outrage? Is he an imbecile? Let's be frank - the flyer stated that a "billionaire homosexual activist Jon Stryker's shadowy group" was supporting the Scripps campaign. What does his being homosexual have anything to do with it? Supporting LGBT groups is not shadowy, it's visionary. Just because Mr. Franz is uncomfortable with that lifestyle does not make it wrong. I am completely offended by the flyer and any man that stamps his name to it. He's lost so many votes in this tactic. I hope it was worth it to ruin your name and your business, Mr. Franz!
This is what the "shadowy group" Michigan Coalition for Progress is about: The Michigan Coalition for Progress is an independent progressive voice for the people of Michigan dedicated to holding our leaders accountable. Read more about us and our accomplishments in the 2006 Michigan election.Michigan is a great place to live, work and grow. But for it to stay that way, we must elect progressive leaders who understand how important it is to: * work together to invest in creating jobs and fixing our economy; * ensure that everyone has access to quality, affordable health care; * build the best state education system in the world; * protect a woman's right to choose; * preserve our unique and natural environment; * keep government out of our private lives; * protect diversity and promote tolerance because it makes us stronger and brings out the best in all of us. Mr. Franz apparently thinks it is a bad thing to fight for access to health care, to protect out environment, to get a good education, to stop government from controlling our lives, and to work together to build the economy. It's apparent that working together is not Franz's thing.
