The last deer harvest has proven that there is no cwd in the deer harvest. But has anyone read this in any reports from the Dnr. NO Imagine that. The farmers were taken avantage of in late plantings and the hunters of michigan were again left to wonder why we even have a Dnr department at all.

With this budget and the 2010 election we will have a chance for smaller government and the liberty I knew as a child that has been lost for my children for awhile now.

It's sad that some people lose money because of the baiting ban, but the fact is that legal baiting marked a big change in the state deer hunting scene and opened the way to 'lazy' hunting that has tainted the sport. Sportsmen used to spend time out in the field finding where the deer were. It wasn't easy but you had to think and go look. After baiting was legalized people just dumped a truckload of sugar beets into a field, build a blind, and waited for the deer to come to them. I think the old way was better. Too bad for the people that are worried about money. Let the lazies go back to their teevee and leave the sport for those willing to put in a little effort.

I do understand and appreciate the monetary loss, of those farmers, whom like Malburg, planted heavily for the season, and then had no market for their product. However, I have no sympathy for those who like to bait, seems to me, a lazy way to hunt. A hunter should KILL ONLY, out of NEED for food, NOT for pleasure. There is something disturbing, about people who kill for enjoyment!

Mary, I find something disturbing about the way you put commas all over and out of place. Learn, where to, put them, or, your sentence, will look, like this.
