How 'bout the districts get rid of the 4 or so "extra credit" type classes (cooking, photography, art, etc.) focus the funding the 4Rs and helping the children that are being left behind, and let the parents begin to take responsibility teaching their children to cook, clean, etc. themselves...you know, like our parents and grandparents used to do...
....and in FOUR MORE YEARS.....you'll be blown away. Thanks mole-face.
In the tough economic times everyone needs to scaleback. Besides I really dont think that is funding thats lacking in our education system. Why is it that we're spending more money on education than alot of other countries with better ranked students. Maybe our school dosent need to have the greenest most well manicured lawn in town, new tennis courts, and who know the football team with the nicest field may not always be better. Also I am not a Granholm supporter, but i am enjoying watching a democrat make budget cuts, it's so entertaining.
