Look for our mayor to retire after the next election day in 2011, so that in his lame duck term he can have the council choose his hand-picked successor to serve for two years and have the upper hand in 2013 as an incumbent. Shame on you, Mary Reeds-Mortensen, for holding off your retirement until after the election and undemocratically cheating the citizens out of their chance to vote for your replacement.
