Granholm is a joke: 1. She should never be appointing this position, it should be named by the Natural Resources Commission as it was before, this is too much power for the Governor. 2. Rasher is an even bigger joke! His initial transition plan was so screwed up most of the senior level management were ready to walk because of how inefficient it was and how it would have made it much harder for us the citizens to enjoy the services of the DNR and DEQ. Luckily there are enough people that spoke up and convinced the Rasher and the Governor otherwise and he was phased out to be non-exsistant and now he is going out the door. He had an inside tie to all this and was not even qualified to serve as the transition manager. So Jenny pumping him in this article is a joke and just a way to help him get another job since the one they tried to get him (DNRE Director) didn't work out.

If Rebecca Humphries manages the dea likes she manages the deer herd we probably won't have any air next year?

Thank goodness that Granholm is leading Michigan in these tough times. She is under enormous pressure from those who would profit from compromising Michigan's greatest resources, the great lakes. The national economy and Michigan with it, will eventually turn around, but destroy Lake Michigan and the coastal dunes, and there ruined for ever. Let's be thankful that Engler is no longer the governor. The environment and so much more was decimated under his "watch."

Hey Ann, why not go back and compare years under Engler w/ years under Granholm. I'm sure she has done some good things for Michigan, but don't tell me Michican was decimated under Engler, he was one of the best governors we've ever had.
