It made for some interesting scheduling, but once you get that squared away, everything else was easy. As far as fan support went, it came and went with winning. It had nothing to do with gender. If the complaint was the cost of attending all the games, that's what flat rate season passes were for. It's good to hear the girls are getting a fair shake and I think everything will work out just fine.
I'm sure I will adjust but with having a daughter on the JV team and a son on the varsity, I have four nights a week filled with basketball plus a couple of little ones, so we will be tired for the next couple months. I am wondering if this will hurt the girls teams as far as fan participation but only time will tell.
Well having graduated from LHS in 84 I grew up with the way it was in Michigan. Since living in different parts of the USA I wondered why almost the entire country did it one way and Michigan was on a different page than everyone else. It is a change to be sure and will take getting accustomed to but with time it will be the "NORM" and not such a big shock, like it is now. I know it will help with Colleges being able to focus all their attention on the Sport of the season for the entire country. This will get the girls a fair shake in the recruiting process. I see no problem with practices with all of the facilities Ludington has at its diposal. My best wishes and full support to the Orioles of today on a great season!!!!
