This summer, we were following a fully-loaded sand truck heading east on Bryant, and it was going way too fast. It came over the hill at Robert Street, and it had to lock up its brakes to try to avoid plowing into a car waiting to turn left onto Rath. Fortunately, the driver of the car saw what was coming, and quickly turned right onto Rath so the sand truck could zoom by. It all happened in a flash, and no one got hurt, but I'll bet the driver of the sand truck and the driver of the car had the "jitters" for the rest of the day. I don't think the sand trucks belong on Bryant. I agree with the people in the article who suggested that they use M-116 and Ludington Avenue instead.
