I have been at my job for 6 years, 3 years without a raise and no health insurance go figure. Oh and by the way Mr. Scripps I see your name on Bill #5319, You may be giving up benefits but now you want to charge all homes with a well for water usage. This is just another way you politicians take from the little people and give to your own pockets. How about all of you politicians take a pay cut down to $50,000.00 a year and see how you make ends meet, oh and have to pay a 1/3 of health insurance or more for yourself and families or no insurance at all, then find a doctor that will accept you with no insurance. I think you politicians need to go back to school and learn the basics again. It doesn't matter if you are a democrat or republican, all of you need to get off your high horse and come down to the working persons level.
I will NOT pay the state because I have a well. If that passes, the bullets will start flying!
HB 5319 will not charge any one because they have a well. The bill is very basic. People continue to spread false rumors about this bill. It does not tax anyone. It does not charge anyone. Rep. Scripps is writing specific language in the bill to ensure these things do not happen. Let's have an honest conversation about this issue. Understand that these rumors were started by lobbyists that represent industry that wants to continue to have the ability to bottle water, draining our groundwater, rivers, streams, lakes, and yes friend, your well. As it stands now you would have no chance against a huge corporation like Nestle, who has unlimited resources. This bill gives us, the people, the power to help protect one of our most precious resources.
