Very good proposal. 1 day possession limits make it very difficult for people to travel and fish multiple days with out violating their possession. Increasing possession to 2 or 3 days limit would be very nice for those who travel, or even those who like to freeze up enough fish to last through the winter.

So what if a non-resident buys the 3 day license, and is only planning on staying 1 day anyhow, or only planning to fish 1 out of 3 days, then he gets to keep 3 days limits? Not so good an idea if that is going to go on now. And not what any charterboat operator wants to contend with, every man gets 15 fish per day w/o questions. Sounds more like a greedy idea to me. Hansen needs to refine this more, and make it varifiable too.

Eddie......one would think you actually know the rules that we already have, being the top notch captain that you are...guess not. Right now, the trout and salmon limit is ONE LIMIT PER DAY, up to TWO ADDITIONAL LIMITS PROCESSED IN POSSESSION. Those additional limits must be cleaned and either frozen, smoked, canned, or similarly "processed". If you have 4 or 5 limits in your freezer, you are in violation technically. The proposal is to do the same with other species. Other species have the same possession limit as your daily catch limit. Say you catch a limit of bluegills. You cannot legally keep anymore bluegills until you eat or get rid of them. Having a limit in the freezer means you cannot keep any more. This proposal would allow people who are on a trip or who freeze fish to keep their daily limit while still possessing processed fish. If you are on a camping trip or fishing trip, it would allow to to catch a limit today, and a limit tomorrow, and a limit the next day, until your possession limit is full.

Chris explained it best, but in case Eddie still can't understand. 1. The daily catch limit will not change. 2. The new law would just mean you can catch your limit Friday, catch your limit Saturday, catch your limit Sunday and be able to stick it all in your cooler for the ride home. Eddie, make sure you know what you're talking about before you post. Other people might come to this site, read what you say and get the wrong understanding of what the law is going to be.
