There should be a few permanent positions plus numerous transient positions for construction. Money into the area means more tax revenue and jobs. Plus with the offshore wind shore project maybe a company will decide to move into the area. Bottom line is we need jobs for people to stay and live here.
Great move to hold the meetings where there will be no effect on the people attending. There is no information on who GLOW is comprised nor is there any posted results of this "year of study". We have no indication what the effects will be on fishing and tourism. This appears to be another sham to take advantage of tax abatements and the mushroom treatment used on the citizens of the concerned communities.
We do not need to ruin our lake over this. There would be just as many jobs, per even more for locals, if the wind mills were land based. Why not install as many as possible around the rim of the pumped storage project?
all for the wind power projects...it's clean and american made.....if YOU like using imported oil for energy then YOU must like our money sent to the middle east for it so it can support terroist
