George, THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES! You will be missed but not forgotten. Enjoy your new life style.

Congratulations, George. I've enjoyed our many conversations, and will certainly long remember a number of our interviews (including the time you gave me a free pass due to a terrible cough that left me unable to speak - and I think you're the only person who has ever referred to me as a "barrister"). Best wishes for a long and happy retirement!

All the best, George! I'll try to stop in and see you this summer! Chris Edwards (guitar player/singer of big band and swing tunes) - originally from Ludington- living in the DC area now. Visit Ludington whenever I can!

I would like express my family's sincere gratitude in the highlighting of our Dad and Husband, Big George and his retirement from WKLA. Lynn and the wonderful staff of WKLA and Andy and the wonderful staff of LDN, It was amazing what you all did today. My dad was so very touched at the outpouring of congratulations from so many people. Everyone surprised him. He is really humbled by the experience. Thank you for giving him his day in the sun. I truly understand why he always says "I love this life of mine." Sincerely, Mary "Shrimp" Wilson, Mary Margaret, Theresa, Geo. C., Kelley, and Harvey "The Wilson Troops"

More happy days are ahead for you Big George. I grew up with my folks starting every morning with you on the radio. And at my tender age 15 you recruited me into the Scottville Clown Band, to my folks "horror". Thanks Big George, and enjoy!

Had the privilege to appear as a guest on George's show several times during my years at WSCC- and of course enjoyed the Clown Band too. George will probably be even more active in retirement than when he was working. All the best, George, and God bless you and yours in the years to come.
