This government intervention needs to stop. First you buy property, then you have to pay taxes forever on that property. Then the county can tell you what you can and can't do on the property? Am I the only one that has issues with this? As long as it isn't creating a health hazard and is making jobs (what is the county currently doing to attract more employers?) what is the problem.
Since LDN wouldn't post my comment the first time, I'll try again. I am extremely disappointed in the members involved in this. The county seems to have a knack at pushing business out of town through similar acts. Do they want all business gone? Just tourist shops and condos? To continually attact companies and businesses that are growing is insane. This reminds me of when House of Flavors was fighting to expand their trucking, so they could produce more product. Keep pushing business and jobs out of town, and you'll be losing your cushy county jobs as well.
Mason County officials: both zoning board and commissioners I address here, what are you thinking with, your heads or egos????? Quit nitpicking and gratefully give Roy Hackert his variance and legal permits to proceed asap, before he changes his mind and goes elsewhere with the new jobs. Your fancy rules and paperwork may take legal precedent, but you fly in the face of progress for the county on this absurdity and atrocity. Get real and get sober with the economic realities of TODAY, not the past! You are giving our county a bad name and reputation for unnecessary rudeness and stupidity. You should put your ego's aside, and attract new ventures and expansions, that's what the people have voted and paid for, and now we need it more than ever! EEEEEEE gads!
