Manistee resident is guilty of vehicular manslaughter, pure and simple. Their 'moment of inattention' while handling their 3000 lb. + weapon led to the death of another. Someone out shooting their gun indiscriminately would be just as guilty if they hit someone. This person may have to pay a small fine, and they could be back behind the wheel today, ready to kill again.
Where is your forgiveness? Would you want to be the person driving? I feel for the family of the victim but I also feel for the driver and his family. How devastated he must be. Accidents happen, I'm sorry to say this was a fatal one, but who among us hasn't had a moment of inattention. Luckily mine hasn't caused an accident but it surely could have. Instead of posting such comments like he will be "ready to kill again" why don't you pray for the affected families to find peace?
xlfd, you should just count count your blessings, keep your mouth shut and worry about paying attention to the road when you are driving. That driver has to live with having killed someone, which is far worse than any fine, sentence, or punishment.
Kill someone, go to jail. Simple as that. Driver is a danger to all of us. He should not have a chance to kill someone else.
