Ok 10" in diameter? How in the heck does a person get pinned in a car with a pine tree that is only 10" in diameter. Someone please explain this to me. Maybe the media needed to make the story look interesting so they used the word "pinned" I don't know but it seems a little wierd!

Well you have to consider how tall it might have been, how bushy it was, and what position the car was. Just because it was "only" 10inches doesn't mean anything

Nedra if you think you can open your car door with a 10 inch diameter tree leaning against it you're more woman/man than any of us! :) That's a lot of weight, more than enough to crush a car roof and pin someone inside it.

The 10 inch diameter would refer to the tree without branches I believe.
