Wow, sounds like our town is soft on crime! Habitual offender third offense and only got 1 year and 11 months to 4 years. Sounds like a joke to me! Nice job Mr. Cooper we will remember this during election time!

Great, the habitual offender will be out to prey on the general public again in less than two years.

Better to plea bargain then to get the conviction. Guns slinging, drug dealing, home invasions, armed robberies... Let's make Ludington safe...you do the crime...damn well should expect to do the time. Shame on Cooper for taking the easy road to justice.

Since when do "habitual offenders" get 1.5 to 4 years sentencing for a crime that involves a weapon? Cooper will never be re-elected in this county...he was obviously related to the defendant somehow. What an embarrassment!!

More than 1 strike and a slap on the wrist? theres this thing called.. punishment.. or.. accountability.. where are we showing the offender (Not to mention our children!) that they are going to be held responsible for their actions?? BAD judgment call :(
