If the Michigan State Police are supposed to be investigating the accident due to the driver being a Mason County Sheriff Correction's Officer, why do we only see Tom Trenner of the Mason County Sheriff's Office telling his biased viewpoint of what may have happened as the factual truth in this incident to all media sources a day afterward?
Gone too soon. A sweet kid. My son Brandon was a classmate and friend of Darius's.Brandon referred to him like a brother. Our hearts and prayers goes out to his family. I considered myself a busstop mom making sure kids where safe getting home.It was a shock to hear of this tragedy. I thought I was dreaming when I heard the news.
Dolores, what did Trenner say that is biased in the article?? the statement would have been from a couple hours after the accident. You are trying to blame it on the Correction officer who was on his or her way home after work? You got to be kidding me, the LDN most likely didn't have a State trooper/investigator to contact considering they were doing the investigation and Trenners comments were hours after the accident and not a day after,
Sdc, you don't see the obvious conflict-of-interest in having Trenner making absolute statements on fact concerning an ongoing investigation he is not part of? It also is potentially a corruption of the investigation, as the MSP may be less likely to dispute his stated facts he has presented in his press releases. If the MSP is investigating the crash, they should have had people there early on Sunday, and available to make "official" statements. Do I blame the officer? That's pending the investigation. Do you blame the kid? Sure sounds like it, and without an investigation.
