In this case I see Phillips as someone who took his daughters life because he couldn't handle being an adult and parent for the second time. He would get along just fine with Casey Anthony.
Truthfully I'm appalled at the mockery that Ariel has made of the legal system. Anyone with half a brain would wager she had something to do with it and although they may not be able to bring her up on charges fitting, I think perjury fits in this case just fine and should be done. To let her go is absurd, from her actions in the courtroom to the actions outside of which with the partying, throwing away baby clothes shortly after the search even began. This case was a joke and she should be brought up on charges instead we let someone who's hungry for attention make national news? It may be a win for Ms. Lange to see Phillips found guilty but her daughter should be warming a jail cell next to him. They're both guilty.
why was Ariel avoiding the media? of the 15 year max, how much time will he actually serve, and will his time include "time served"? where online are people talking about this case? anywhere? I personally think Sean tipped his hand when he refused the plea deal. He couldnt tell Kate's location in exchange for leniency because then he would be charged with murder. He killed that baby, its the only thing that fits, thats why LE is only following that avenue. As for Ariel, she has already had a terribly rough life (please dont judge her unless you've walked her shoes), and this only adds to her trauma. She may not be very bright, but I think she is Emotionally unstable because of all she has been through. Ariel: stay strong, get professional help so you can lead a better life with Haley. Maybe get out of that stinking town where everyone is so hateful. I wish you well.
Dianabee You bring up a valid point about Philips. I didn't know these things about Ariel before and it is a good thing you said something. There are too many people here in Ludington with a Andy Griffith/Mayberry way of thinking. They don't want to believe something bad could ever happen here and when it does they end up in a state of denial. And if they are forced to look at the truth they lash out. They are acting the way they are because they don't know how to face such a situation. Nobody should think they are living in a tvland/nick at nite world. That world will get shattered too easily.
