TURN ON THE BLOWER. I would bet that they just refueled, did not run their blower to ventilate fresh air, and that gas vapors ignited when they started it. Boom - Off they go. They got lucky this time.

They had not refueled, the jet ski just exploded when they attempted to start it after lunch. Yes, they are very lucky.

I have Kawaski jet skis and they don't have blowers on. And my friends have have jet skis and no blowers on them either.
