Does any one has latest news on this?

I heard disturbing details about the preparation and procedures by official rescue personnel at this scene. I hope there is a quality assuredness report made public by responsible officers on this sad event.

I do not mean this to be cold or uncaring in anyway. But why didn't they just let this man go? He was in the water for 36 minutes. Now look at the cost to this mans family both in emotion, and dollars. They will run up a bill they can never ever pay for the care he is recieving, to, in all likely hood end up in the same place he was lying in the water for 36 minutes. My heart goes out to the family for what they are going through. Again, I don't mean to be uncaring, sometimes we just have to be real.

It is protocol to "work" any cardiac arrest patient that has has been in the water for less than 60 minutes. If the Ems crew had not done that they would face neglect charges and could lose their licenses. The Ems crew did a wonderful job the gave the mans family time to say their goodbyes before he passed. Dave if you are worried about what happen on the scene you should join your local fire department or get an emt license and join your local Ems agency. I know that you won't because it is easier to sit in your chair and talk down about the people who are out helping others.
