Comments are moderated on a daily basis.I feel very bad for the businesses in the district of MCC. They support the school on a daily basis via donations. Yes, this is almost a daily thing, (the 5th grade, the wrestling team, football team, community auction, ect). Now, they will have to pay more taxes. Have you looked at the empty retail spots in Scottville? Does it look like businesses have extra cash left from an already tax heavy environment? The Headlee override also hits one sector of the communitee hard that is almost never talked about, the renter. Many of these people can barely make rent now, and you know the landlord is not going to absorb the raise.
I agree a, .... I also think that the Mainstreet program in Scottville and the DDA program in Ludington are a huge waste of money !
