I hope the great citizens of Michigan will understand the importance of passing this important issue. Dove hunting has been allowed in the State of Texas as long as I can remember. Evidence proves that dove numbers are at an all time high, doves make great table fare, and are part of a hunting heritage and tradition that should be protected. Songdirds they aren't. I'm afraid the "Bambi-fication" of game animals has caused people to become extreme in their approach and thought processes. We as humans are the keepers of the game and our responsiblity and duty is to protect and conserve that which we have been given. Hunting does just that.
