It was a great honor for my Daughter to be recognized for her loving heart. Andrea was very proud that she was in the paper. She is planning on cutting out the article and sending it to the Gelina family. Andrea, I just wanted to tell you how proud I am to have a daughter as kind hearted as you are. Don’t ever let anyone change who you are. You are the Best! Love, Mom
Andrea, As the mother of a Marine I cant tell you how much this story touched my heart. Im very sorry that you lost your pen pal and Im very sorry that the Gelina family lost their hero. Thank you for supporting this family through their difficult time. Nothing can bring 2nd Lt. Gelina back but you can provide a little sunshine to them by doing exactly what you did. You remembered them and their loss, you gave of a little piece of yourself to someone who gave all for your freedom. That my friend is the best type of gift to give. Your mom is right, don't ever change. You are the best and she is very lucky to have you for a daughter! Wanda
