This is absolutely wonderful news. Combine this with the California Farmers Association's research into Robotic Fruit pickers to replace migrant workers, see http://www.wired.com/science/discoveries/news/2007/06/robo_picker, and we are getting closer to TEAM INFINITY's "WAGELESS ROBOTIC ECONOMY" which is explained here: http://TeamInfinity.com/ROBO_ECONOMY Pl;ease share your thoughts, thanks, sysop@TeamInfinity.com

The wageless robot economy is a GREAT thing. See Hazlitt's "Economics in One Lesson." Paying wages just to pay wages is not the way to make a country prosper. Ask East Germany. Jim

Sounds like a good alternative to costly pesticides. BUT, who hires people when robots do all the work? Didn't George Orwell have a problem with this too?

Don on July 06, 2007 at 8:59 AM

Yeah, but where have the real people gone? It was a robot that complained about the item from Boca Raton, and yet another from Farmville! I am one too. LOL I think we will be relatively safe until robots begin to automate people. Then, I'm worried.

"It can ... remove them using flames or a laser." Why does this sound like the beginning of a bad sci-fi movie? A robot with a laser and a flame thrower, what could possibly do wrong?

Don on July 06, 2007 at 1:10 PM

Robots have been tested in security positions with weapons, and things have gone horribly wrong. Here is a current one: http://www.topix.net/city/yakima-wa/2007/06/prisoner-kills-officer-at-university-of-utah-campus-medical-center I guess they figure, what could go wrong with a weed! LOL

Don, Lloyd, Paul, thank you all for your comments. You are NOT your job, therefore, once you lose your job, you will still exist, especially under TEAM INFINITY's WAGELESS ROBOTIC ECONOMY, where your full time job will be to maintain your mental physical, spiritual/emotional health. Robots and computers will do ALL OTHER WORK. Have you read http://TeamInfinity.com/MagnaCarta.html several times all the way through yet ? Could you please, READ it and email your thoughts, and share them here as well. All your questions are answered there, and there is a FAQ too where you can submit your questions. BE WELL. Thanks, sysop@TeamInfinity.com
