I have heard some of the things she wrote, and believe that this woman is a very insecure person to say such horrible things about people. People have a right to live without fear of public ridicule and that is exactly what she has done here in our community. I can't believe the library is even keeping copies available to the public. It is truly sad and breaks my heart to even think one person can be so mean.
We live in southwest Michigan and public libraries are pretty much the same everywhere. They are just that, public, supported by tax dollars. You can't decide who can use them and who can't. Parents need to watch their children and not use the library as a babysitter. I never left my children alone at our library when they were young. I am also a writer and I am all for someone writing what they want, but you have to use your head!
"People have a right to live without fear of public ridicule and that is exactly what she has done here in our community. I can't believe the library is even keeping copies available to the public." One problem with those two lovely things you said in there. Who gives anyone the right to live without ridicule and who says what she did is ridicule maybe this is an eye opener sometimes shocking but sometimes needed. You can't believe that a PUBLIC library is keeping a book available.... the country we live in allows people to protest even though i hate it and would love to tune them out any chance i get they have the right to it so do people publishing books and letting people read them. As far as one person being mean I hate to say it but wake up and read the news this world isn't exactly nurturing it's brutal sometimes it still has alot of good people but the whole good/bad thing isn't the issue anymore it's people waking up and not just closing their eyes to every situation they see that they might not like or find offensive that just allows worse things to happen.
Gosh! Just make it go away already! Aren't there more newsworthy stories? Stop giving her the publicity she is longing for. It is obvious that is what she is after since she posts on every single board on every single site that is selling her book, under other names-all identifiable as her, and leaving glowing reviews of it. Enough already!!
Regardless of whether or not you have read, or choose to read, the book you must watch the interview with the author on the wzzm website! Enough said...
