Erin Brockovich all over again...... It is good that Northrup Grumman and Straits Steel are fronting the costs, but it is about time they got around to cleaning up the mess.

This is just a money-grab by the city, forcing these homeowners to become the city's customers. Now they'll have to pay a monthly bill to drink that crappy Ludington swimming pool water that come from the tap.

I am glad to see that this isn't going to cost those homeowners any money.

concern for the landowners is fine, but telling them what the can and can't do on there property should be a little above and beyond what local gov. was designed to do. as long as they are not a threat to others, leave them alone.

If they are going to forbid them using thier wells they should also make sure that the homes listed under this rule are exempt from all future water bills as well.

"Exposure to hexavalent chromium can cause health problems." The EPA has determined that exposure to chromium in drinking water at concentrations of 1 mg/L for up to 10 days is not expected to cause any adverse effects in a child. The FDA has determined that the chromium concentration in bottled drinking water should not exceed 1 mg/L. You need to learn what the readings are for this area.

Good comments torn and joe, both in favor of private land owners rights. The $1/4 Million dollar man Shay continues to make new friends everyday.
