So they had to break the law for the good of the people? Then why were there three scheduled open meetings between the time the quote was made and the work started? Why is Councilor Holman and Mayor Henderson commending (themself and) Shay for breaking the law? Why didn't anyone show any remorse for breaking the law? Oh, did I mention these public officers were breaking the law.

Thanks for wasting our tax dollars Rotta! Good to know that someone is willing to cause a bigger burden on our community for no possible benefit.

To bad this is a issue when following the rules would take care of this type of problem. Need more Rotta like people at all local goverment meetings........

That one resident, a lady, had complained about the backup beforehand on at least 1-2 occasions, and was ignored. It wasn't until the situation became an emergency that Shay finally acted, and then acted in secrecy based on the emergency potential that "HE ALONE" created. Haste makes waste, and Shay has again proven he can't make decisions for infrastructure with efficiency and immediacy. He's more concerned with wasting taxpayer dollars on tourist related programs, same with the city council. Then, instead of getting competitive bids for the job, they took the current contractor in the area on an emergency basis, costing taxpayers even more. Look at ALL the FACTS before you believe all the COUNCIL says about SHAY, and you will find the applause and pats on the back are unwarranted and shameful.

Why do we need more people like Rotta? We need more people to waste tax payers money on petty situations that aren't hurting anyone? He has nothing better to do then pay attention to the city and find things to complain about. I really don't think we need more people like this.

EDDIE on January 24, 2013 at 7:02 AM

Sdc, you need to evaluate the facts, instead of superstition and lies, to equate a reasonable finding in the end analysis. Furthermore, your statement sounds more like a threat, than that of a reasonable man. Do you intend to carry that threat on? If so,then maybe you need to be arrested for suspicion, think your threats thru before you publish them whimsically on the web sir! Methinks YOU are the real threat out here, not Rotta at ALL!

EJT on January 25, 2013 at 7:22 AM

EDDIE, you have no room to talk about threats. Your threats are very open threats and quite common. SDC was not making any threat, just saying that we don't need Rotta around here wasting tax dollars for pointless technical issues. How is it a threat to suggest he move?

Sdc on January 25, 2013 at 7:23 AM

Eddie, clarify where the threat is in my statement.....
